Senior Canucks get bye to the Coy Cup finals with 8-0 win

With an 8-0 win over the Terrace River Kings, the Senior C’s get to skip the semifinals tonight and go directly to the finals on Saturday.

The 8-0 result saw multiple players put up multipoint nights. Mike Lalonde had two goals, as did Frèdèric Tanguay, Dolan Bjornson had a goal and two assists, Wesley Shipton had a goal and an assist, while Jonathan Jasper had two helpers.

DC outshot Terrace 36-18. Josh Round and Kenton White (who played the third period) got the shutout.

The William Lake Stampeders take on the Kelowna Sparta tonight in the semifinal for the right to play the Canucks. DC had beat the Sparta 7-4 in round robin play, but managed a 2-2 tie versus Williams Lake. Williams Lake beat Kelowna 6-4 in the final game of round robin play.
