Fore! Farmington Fairways hosts youth golf camp

During the week of August 26 to 30, 2019 Farmington Fairways Golf course hosted a youth camp. 

Approximately 12 Dawson Creek youth were in attendance to learn all things golf perfecting a swing, putt, ethics and rules, walking on course and also being quite.

These are fundamentals of the game where it gives the youth an opportunity to learn the game of golf from instructor Rhona Law.

Ms. Law a Grande Prairie, AB resident is a Class A LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) Teaching Professional with many achievements under her belt including a local, Provincial, and International competitor. Currently she is the Grande Prairie Public School Division Academy Golf Coach, a LPGA candidate adviser, and an LPGA site director for Girls Golf Programs.    

She also is the sole proprietor of Rhonagolf.ca where she travels across the Peace Region to numerous golf facilities instructing.

Ms. Law commented showing her passion for the youth and the game “little feet on the fairway, learn to play and play to learn.”

Another great resource in our region where youth can build to their sporting skills.
