DC Curling Club draws a key sponsor

The Dawson Creek Curling Club starts their 2020 bonspiel season with the annual mixed (formerly Farmers) bonspiel, this weekend, on Jan 31-Feb 2.

"We are pleased to announce that our club has entered into a new three-year partnership with Upper Montney as our presenting sponsor," says curling club manager Jeff Ginter.

Upper Montney is a subsidiary of Highstreet Ventures from Kelowna.

“Highstreet prides itself on fostering a community where neighbours get to know each other... and we'll do just that at our upcoming Mixed Bonspiel!”

“The Dawson Creek Curling Club has been very receptive to our request for a partnership, and we are so pleased to be working alongside them,” said Nancy Ross, Upper Montney’s Community Leader.

“I am excited to see how this relationship will grow over the next few years.”

“Community is an important part of Highstreet’s business model,” said Pino Mancuso, VP of Operations at Highstreet Ventures.

“We have always focused on fostering connections among our community members, and now we are extending that premise to include Dawson Creek.”

Play starts Friday at 6:00 pm and continues all weekend with the finals scheduled for 1:30 pm on Sunday Feb 2.  Cash prizes are paid per win.

The club will feature lots of free food events, including a bonspiel brunch and banquet dinner on Saturday.  A limited number of extra tickets are available for this fantastic schnitzel meal.

A dance also takes place Saturday night, starting at 9:00 pm.

"It is open to the public; you do not have to be a curler to enjoy a great evening out at the Dawson Creek Curling Club," adds Ginter.
