It was a great way to end 2018 as the Dawson Creek Junior Canucks beat the Huskies in Fort St. John in an exciting 6-3 finish.
The Junior C’s took the lead early, going up 2-0 in the first period, with goals from Dylan McCuaig and Mason Ducharme.
The Huskies were efficient on the power play, putting up three goals with the extra man, but were unable to take the lead.
McCuaig finished the night with a hattrick and an assist, while Ducharme had two goals of his own.
Mathew Ens made 40 saves on 43 shots (.930 SV%).
The Juniors return to action January 3 on the road against the County of Grande Prairie JDA Kings, but won’t return home until January 19.
