Tanner and Dustin Bahm both totaled three points as the Dawson Creek Junior Canucks beat the Fort St. John Huskies 5-1 Saturday night on the road.
While the Junior C’s were outshot 48-21 that obviously did not tell the real story — since less than four minutes into the game the Canucks held the lead and never let go.
Brandon Rowley also notched a multi-point night, putting up a goal and an assist, while Raymond Prive scored the night’s opening goal, and Lane Wycotte and Ethan Buck each had an assist.
Mathew Ens made 47 saves (.979 SV%).
The Junior Canucks next play in the NWJHL Showcase, with games at Crosslink County Sportsplex in Clairmont, AB Friday and Saturday. Friday’s tilt against Sexsmith goes 8 pm, while the Canucks play the early game Saturday against Fairview at 1 pm.
