Junior Canucks fall 6-0 in first exhibition versus Women's Team

In the first game of exhibition play against the Canadian Women's National Team red squad, the Dawson Creek Junior Canucks fell 6-0.

The game followed the Fort St. John Huskies' 4-0 loss to the white squad.

The Canucks had come out to a strong first period — outshooting the red team 20-10 in the first frame, and allowing only one goal — but struggled thereafter. The red team outshot the Canucks 49-40.

Goaltenders Matthew Ens and Connor Webb split the game in net for the Canucks.

The Canucks play the white team today at noon, while the Huskies take the red squad at 3 pm.
