They were in Group D with Elgin Park (Surrey), Mark Isfeld (Courtenay), and Brooks Secondary (Powell River).

In the round robin, DCSS tied for most match wins in their round robin with two other teams, but placed third in the round robin due to set wins.

In the first round of the playoffs, DCSS drew the eventual medal winner, Crofton House, and took them to five sets, but ultimately fell. (DCSS won the first set 26-24 and the fourth 25-16, but lost the second 25-15, third 25-18, and the final 15-7).

DCSS won out the rest of their matchups — against DW Poppy, Caledonia, and Nanaimo District Secondary — taking top position out of the teams knocked out from gold contention in the first round. (Sweeping all but Nanaimo District Secondary in two sets).
