DC disc golf club hopeful for provincials in 2020 or 2021

While Langley’s Raptors Knoll Disc Golf Park was awarded the 2019 Provincial Disc Golf Championship, the Dawson Creek Disc Golf Club say they are hopeful to host in 2020 or 2021.

The DCDGC had put in an application to host in 2019, 2020, and/or 2021, which was submitted with letters of support by Tourism Dawson Creek, MLA Mike Bernier, and the City of Dawson Creek.

Club president Daniel Martin says the BC Disc Sports board noted “the DCDGC expression of interest was very strong and they were impressed with our growth.”

He says the board will vote upon the 2020 host in the summer.

“The DCDGC will be working with the BCDS to see what will bring us over the top, and use that as leverage to improve and expand on our current courses and tournament resources.”
