Dakotah Ruel named first alternate for BC Long Track team

This weekend the Canada Cup #1, a National Long Track Competition was held in Fort St. John, with the fastest Speed Skaters from all over Canada coming together to compete. In addition, this competition was also the Team BC Long Track Selection Trial for the upcoming Canada Winter Games.

In the Team BC Long Track Selection Trials, Dawson Creek’s Dakotah Ruel achieved fifth place for the men, which makes him the first alternate member.

The top four — Joshua Telizyn from Fort St. John, Eric Orlowsky and Kieran Hanson from Prince George, and Jacob Rubuliak from Kelowna — were named to the team.
