Big Bam Ski Hill to open for season Sunday

After a long and frustrating wait, the Big Bam Ski Hill will finally open for 2020 this weekend on Sunday, February 16 and Family Day Monday, February 17. The hill was closed for the first half of the winter due to a lack of snow, and then remain closed as the club waited to receive the correct permit.

The ski club is expected to announce more details on Thursday, February 13. The current forecast for the opening dates is -13 degrees on Sunday, and -4 degrees Monday.

This weekend marks a perfect time for the club to open as it is also the High On Ice Festival, with folks already expected to be outside on the wekend and enjoying the many activities. Having skiing and snowboarding as options doesn't hurt at all.
