BC Peace cowboys place well in Canadian Finals Rodeo

A number of BC Peace-based cowboys did well at the Canadian Finals Rodeo held from October 30 to November 4 in Red Deer.

Fort St. John’s Stephen Culling placed second ($56,385.82 total earnings) in steer wrestling, earning the most in the aggregate, while Pouce Coupe’s Clayton Moore was right behind him, placing third overall ($41,792.01 total earnings) and second in the aggregate. Each had a first place finish during the rodeo.

Dawson Creek’s Jake Gardner placed 10th in bull riding with $23,697.25 of total earnings.

In saddle bronc, Hudson’s Hope’s Jake Watson placed third, with total earnings of $55,381.70.

In the Rising Stars Rodeo, Charlie Lake’s Wade Roberts placed second in the steer wrestling, while Hudson’s Hope’s Ben Jackson tied for fifth in tie down roping. NLC Rodeo teammate Denton Spiers finished third in bull riding.
