After months of speculation and more than 50,000 thousand votes, the SledTown ShowDown finals are over. Congratulations to Tumbler Ridge, who earned the title of SledTown, as well as the people's champ with more than 51,000 votes for the win.

"These two SledTowns outlasted the rest, dispatching the strongest SledTown from their nearest provincial neighbours in the process," noted officials.

The community of Tumbler Ridge and surrounding area will now receive some recognition from the snowmobile community and trade publications.

Voters around the province deemed Tumbler Ridge the most worthy destination to take their snowmobiles for a ride. On its way to B.C. preeminence, Tumbler Ridge vaulted past Golden in Round 1, Blue River in Round 2, Revelstoke in Round 3 and Sicamous in Round 4, the provincial finals.
