Council, as a whole, was paid $97,016.52, with $51,291.12 of expenses claimed. Mayor Don McPherson claimed $24,031.63 of expenses, while on council, Robert MacKay claimed the most with $12,554.66. Three councillors — Helen Scott, Darryl Krakowka, and Will Howe — were listed as claiming none.

Fifteen employees are listed on the “sunshine list” — salaries over $75,000. The sunshine list makes up $1,430,914.16 of remuneration and $55,183.14 of expenses. Employees making less than $75,000 — who are not publicly listed — made $2,527,650.47 of wages and $8,624.81 of expenses.

According to the statement of financial information, the District was paying out a severance agreement for a non-union employee, which had commenced in the 2015 fiscal year. It represents 17 months of compensation for “four years and two months of service.”
