District of Tumbler Ridge has strong reserve position

Over $650,000 in interest earned in 2019.

Falling out of District of Tumbler Ridge discussions about business and tax deferral – is the fact the District of Tumbler Ridge is in a strong financial position.

“We have considerable $25 million dollars plus in savings, and an estimated $3.8 million dollars in surplus, and our savings is mandated to be invested in 100% secure investments, of which we made over $650,000 in interest in 2019,” said councillor Will Howe this week.
