Tomslake Fire Dept. gears up

At the Annual Open house of the Tomslake & District Volunteer Fire Department on Sunday, May 5, the department unveiled its latest acquisition - 2019 Ford with KimTek skid unit for bush and grass fires. The department credits Farm Credit Agrispirit Community Grant, financial support from Encana and Saddle Hills County for the vehicle. Rural grant help from PRRD and Area D director Leonard Hiebert helped with the skid unit. Chief George Giersch, Encana rep Brian Lieverse, Deputy Chief Darryl Kroeker get in on the aaction with the new skid unit.
