South Peace Emergency Response Team is recruiting

On September 5, team president and training officers Marcel Woodill and vice president Aden Fulford held a information session for the recruitment of new members at their local office 1639-99 Ave. Approximately 12 people were in attendance where a information slide show was presented.

There are no prerequisites to join and all training is provided by the team based out of Dawson Creek. Training includes wilderness first aid, driver training, helicopter exit, swift water and rope awareness, and ATV/UTV training.

The focus is to build a strong team to work together for ground search and rescue services throughout the Peace Region. Currently there is 20 members of the team with 12-15 active members all residents of the Peace Region.
