An application concerning the Groundbirch waste transfer station has obtained the first step in the application process for a provincial sponsored Crown grant.
While the application is still under review and will be decided upon at a future date, the Ministry of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development (FLNRORD), supports the proposed use of the Crown land.
Ministry sponsorship does not guarantee final approval of your application by the province. Recommendations will then be forwarded to government to obtain approval for the transfer of Crown land, or funds or tenure.
The PRRD will be advised of a final decision prior to the end of the application process. Directors of the PRRD's Solid Waste committee are expected to discuss the matter during Thursday's Solid Waste committee meeting.
