173 positive cases of COVID-19 in Northern Health over the weekend

There were 1,475 cases identified over the weekend in British Columbia, says Dr. Bonnie Henry. 

Here is a breakdown of where the new cases were identified:

•  287 people in Vancouver Coastal Health

•  736 people in Fraser Health

•  59 in Island Health

•  217 in Interior Health

•  173 in Northern Health 

and three from outside of Canada.

"We 5,220 active cases in British Columbia with 72 people in critical care," noted the provincial medical health officer this afternoon 

"Twenty-two more people have died from COVID-19 - with 1,010 total deaths in British Columbia," added Henry.
