Pouce museum needs repairs ASAP

Pouce Coupe council say repairs need to be done on the museum before its grand opening May 11.

“We really have to put a push on this,” said Councillor Marlene Hebert. “I think there are issues of safety involved in some of these repairs, especially when the soffit is falling down. It’s been ignored for far too long.

“It just can’t be left.”

Council and staff noted at the April 3 meeting that they had just heard from the museum the extent of repairs needed.

“It’s the Village’s facility,” said Councillor Ken Drover. “If you’re not going to fix the issues, don’t open to the public — it’s a liability issue.”

Village staff set out for three quotes for repair work, as well as three quotes for painting work.
