Coroner investigating Pouce death

Body of a male in his teens was found at the trestle bridge.

On Monday evening the news broke that a body has been found in Pouce Coupe - and Tuesday BC Coroners Service says they are investigating the death which does not appear to be suspicious.

RCMP, Ambulance, and fire officials were all seen responding to near the public path and entrance to the Pouce Coupe trestle bridge Monday afternoon. From accounts by area residents, to more direct sources close to the matter reported to the Mirror that a body was found.

According to the B.C. Coroners Service, a body of a male in his teens was found at the Trestle Bridge. They do not expect to release any further information on the case.

Pouce Mayor Lorraine Michetti the village and council would like to see respect for the families related to the incident at this time.

“We are sorry for your loss,” she said Tuesday.
