Chetwynd RCMP are seeking the public’s help in locating a wanted individual, who police say should be considered dangerous.
At about 5:30 p.m. on August 18, RCMP were advised that Devon Myles Lindstrom was seen at a local business in Chetwynd.
When frontline officers managed to catch up with Lindstrom while he was driving in an industrial area of Chetwynd he began driving dangerously and recklessly in traffic. Police decided to stop pursuing Lindstrom.
“Our priority is to ensure the safety of the community and that is why our officers chose not to engage in a high traffic time of day, so as to not to put anyone else at risk,” states Sgt. Wahnese Antonioni. “The Chetwynd RCMP continue their efforts to locate and safely arrest Devon Lindstrom. We want the general public to be alert and if you do spot this individual, do not approach him, instead we ask the public to call 911 or their local police immediately.”
Lindstrom has several outstanding warrants for his arrest.
Lindstrom is described as 25-year old Indigenous male with tattoos on his face, neck, and ears. He is 6 feet tall and about 190 lbs.
As he is considered dangerous, Chetwynd RCMP are asking that if you see Lindstrom, do not approach him and to call police.
