Brooks man arrested in northern Alberta with cocaine

Cocaine, khat and more found.

 A Brooks, Alberta man and a second suspect have been arrested in northern Alberta after a drug trafficking bust.

On February 19, the High Level RCMP Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) performed a traffic stop in High Level.

Cccupants were charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. RCMP seized 1.3 kilograms of cocaine, one ounce of Khat, drug paraphernalia and packaging. 

Ahmed Abdi Maalin (23) of Brooks, was charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and obstructing a peace officer. Abdiraham Mohamud Mohamed (64) of Yellowknife,  charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. Both males will appear in High Level Provincial Court on April.
