Court Docket, July 27-31

Sentences and fines handed out in provincial courts July 27 to 31, 2020:

Fort St John

  • Donald Jonathon Novak (born 1976) was sentenced to zero days and issued a 10-year mandatory firearms ban and a two-month probation order for criminal harassment, committed in Fort St. John in February 2020.

  • Nicholas Frederick Golden Stafford (born 1991) was sentenced to zero days and issued a one-year probation order for theft, committed in Fort St. John in April 2019. Stafford was sentenced to zero days and issued a one-year probation order for theft $5,000 or under, also committed in Fort St. John in April 2019.

  • Jaegar James Hal Hammerstrom (born 2000) was issued a suspended sentence with an 18-month probation order, and ordered to pay a $100 victim surcharge for two counts of assault, committed in Prince George in March and June of 2019.

  • Joslyn Aleesia Dodge (born 1977) was issued a one-year $500 recognizance after allegation of causing fear of injury or damage, committed in Fort St. John in May 2019.

  • Dale Wilfred Bastien Stillaway (born 1964) was fined $100 and ordered to pay a $15 victim surcharge for driving without a driver’s licence, committed in Fort St. John in May 2017.

Dawson Creek

  • Brian Frederick Earl (born 1971) was issued a 90-day conditional sentence with a 12-month probation order for possession of stolen property over $5,000, committed in Dawson Creek in April 2019.

  • Thomas Robert Harper (born 1961) was fined $1,000 and issued a one-year criminal driving ban for impaired driving, committed in Dawson Creek in October 2019.

  • Kenneth Joseph Fournier (born 1962) was issued a one-year $500 recognizance after allegation of causing fear of injury or damage to property, committed in Dawson Creek in June 2019.

  • Gregory James Redbear (born 1976) was issued a one-year $500 recognizance after allegation of causing fear of injury or damage, committed in Pouce Coupe in April 2019.

  • Mandeep Singh (born 1995) was issued a one-year $500 recognizance after allegation of causing fear of injury or damage to property, committed in Dawson Creek in May 2018.

Fort Nelson

  • Shane Adrian Thomas (born 1992) was issued a suspended sentence with a two-year probation order, a 12-year mandatory firearms prohibition, and ordered to submit for a DNA sample for unlawful confinement or imprisonment, assault, wilfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer, and uttering threats, all committed in Fort Nelson in June 2019. Thomas was was also issued a suspended sentence with a two-year probation order for assault, committed in Fort Nelson in September 2018.
