That belongs in a museum, and trips to Jupiter

“That cross is an important artifact, it belongs in a museum," is dialogue from a movie I know. While the line is a fictional one concerning the Cross of Coronado, it certainly applies here.

Bob Jones’ Trail of ’42 Dodge carry-all also belongs in a museum. He is looking for a home for it and there are a handful of places that could be a permanent home to a 1942 vehicle that drove the Alaska Highway on it’s 75 year, by a man who drove the route in both ’67 and '92 for 25th and 50th celebrations, as well as 2017.

Jones may be the only person to have hit the road from DC to Fairbanks for all three special years. Jones estimates he’s travelled the route at least 35 times.

Alaska Highway House, Pioneer Village, and NAR, are just some locations right off the top of my head.

Readers. When an online blog says “could not be reached by press time,” they not being that honest with you.

Blogs have no deadline, because there is no deadline for them to be running on any quote, unquote “press”.

"Press time" is when they hit return on a keyboard. So when a blog writes “could not be reached by press time,” all this means is the source didn’t call them back immediately. Or it could mean that the blog never tried to contact the source in the first place.

Because hey, if you’re going to literally invent a thousand odd square foot room, and a 50 year old giant press to go in it by saying “could not be reached by press time,” you’ll just about say anything in a story, won’t you?

There is no press, there is no time. Some outlets are flat out lying to you at the end of the story.

Now, I was going to quote another source for this editorial, perhaps the Mayor, or another Editor, but they could not be reached before the weekly 'Dawson Creek Mirror Rocketship Trips to Jupiter Day'.

Until next time,
