RE: whistle cessation

Obviously Dr. Brian L. Horejsi’s assessment that Mr. Lekstrom “is eminently unqualified to pass judgment on the urgency of enacting an aggressive long term caribou recovery plan” applies also to his knowledge in dealing with railway issues.

“I would like to have a discussion with CP Rail” would be embarrassing and utterly pointless considering the fact that Canadian National Railway has been the sole railway service provider to Dawson Creek since 2004 (remember the infamous selloff of BC Rail).

I would suggest to Mr. Lekstrom that it would behoove him to take time to brush up on his railway knowledge ... if not for the residents of Dawson Creek, then at least for the benefit of the 7 industrial and agricultural customers currently served by Canadian National Railway.

I am rather surprised that a former Mayor, Provincial MLA and current City Councilor would not be better informed!

Editor’s note: It would be fair to say that Lekstrom purely misspoke live in the moment in council when he said CP Rail as opposed to CN.
