Five more medals for Zone 12 competitors at the B.C. 55-plus Games.

Dawson Creek's Robin O'Reilly won gold in the swimming pool finishing with a time of 1 minute, 36.54 seconds in the 100-metre freestyle in the women's 75-79 class.

Taylor's Ken Anderson earned silver in the low net category for men 55+ while Chetwynd's Carol Giesbrecht placed second for low gross in ladies 55-plus.

Mark Haynes from Taylor will bring home a bronze medal for his low net score in mens 55-plus.

And, Corey Jonsson and Dan Hogg from the Peace Country pickleball club in Taylor added to the medal count with a gold in mixed 3.0 doubles for the 55-64 age division.

Zone 12 now has seven medals in total: 3 gold, 3 silver, and one bronze.

Fort St. John's Andy Orcena and crossover partner Brian Dean from Quesnel took gold in 55-64 men's doubles darts, while Bear Flat's Arlene Boon and Fort St. John's Corey Jonsson picked up a silver medal in 55-64 women's doubles 3.0 pickleball.

Zone 12 currently sits in 12th place in the medal count.

Host Vancouver Island South leads the way with 217, followed by Vancouver Island North with 90 and the Lower Mainland squad with 68.
