Kodiaks open season at home Friday night

The Dawson Creek Kodiaks are heading into their season opener on a strong note after winning both exhibition games in High Level last weekend. The Kodiaks host the Fort St. John Huskies at the Memorial Arena for their home opener Friday, September 24.

The Dawson Creek Kodiaks are heading into their season opener on a strong note after winning both exhibition games in High Level last weekend. The Kodiaks host the Fort St. John Huskies at the Memorial Arena for their home opener Friday, September 24 at 8 p.m.

The next night, September 25, the Kodiaks will play the Sexsmith Vipers, again at the Memorial arena.

Dawson Creek beat the Vipers 3-2 on September 17, and won their game against the North Peace Navigators 3-1 on September 19.

Sephus Johnson, John Meyer, and Tristan Williams scored for the Kodiaks against the Navigators.

The Kodiaks played the Huskies in an exhibition game September 4, losing 5-0. Since then, the Huskies split a pair of exhibition games against the Cold Lake Ice, winning 10-2 and losing 3-2.
