The Dawson Creek Junior Canucks will start hockey activities in earnest next week, starting with the Jr. Canucks hockey school, August 23 to 27, followed by the Canucks main camp August 27 to 29. Both the school and camp will take place at the Tumbler Ridge Community Centre.
The Canucks weren't able to host their school last year, and had to have a late camp in September. However, things are right on schedule for the 2021-22 season, with a full, 40-game season set to begin in Dawson Creek with a bang. The Canucks will host their fierce rivals, the Fort St. John Huskies, September 24 for what should be a raucous occasion and a sign of the competitive, compelling regular season to come.
The team could have a look by the time the season opener comes around, after a post on their Facebook page said a change is coming Fall 2021, with the team's former logo removed from the profile picture slot. It's all leading to what should be an action-packed, finally normal 2021-22 NWJHL season.
