Hunter Kropp and Caleb Waller will sleep good tonight.

The two 11-year-olds from Dawson Creek bowled 60 frames Sunday at the YBC Nationals in Oshawa, Ont.

The first five games, however, were done under a very unique pre-cursor tournament.

Kropp and Waller, the BC bantam boys champions, were teamed up with Castlegar's Summer Merwin and Carys Rodgers, the BC bantam girls champs, to play a mixed “total pins dropped” format against five other mixed teams.

Their final combined score of 3172 gave the BC bantam foursome a gold medal.

Kropp's scores in the five games: 167-135-130-157-172=761

Waller's scores in the five games: 141-156-134-180-164=775

The Dawson Creek pair also played their first game of the bantam boys round-robin, but fell 276-255 to Southern Ontario.

They'll play six games Monday.

The playoff round begins on Tuesday.
