They did it, again!

Hunter Kropp and Caleb Waller are the 2022 YBC National bantam boys bowling champions.

The Dawson Creek duo completed the feat Tuesday in Oshawa, Ont. rattling off three-straight wins after qualifying for the medal round.

"It was insane. They were tears. We were crying, we were cheering," said a very happy coach Karry Riise on the team's second gold medal, a 352-349 decision over Team Alberta.

"I felt bad. We made them cry but we're bringing home the gold medal."

In fact, Kropp and Waller went unbeaten for the entire day including the championship final.

It was their second gold medal of the tournament after the two took the mixed bantam title with two other bowlers, Summer Merwin and Carys Rodgers, from Castlegar on Sunday.

“That’s unbelievably good news. You know, we’re so proud of these little guys,” said Dawson Creek Dale Bumstead on hearing the news of the second gold.

“They went off to Vancouver and come back home provincial champions, then head to Nationals and I thought how amazing for these two little guys.”

“It’s incredible how strong they performed under that pressure at a national championship, gold medal champions, and how good is that.”

The pair played 18 games in total over three days, including the mixed tournament.

Hunter and Caleb return home very early Thursday morning after a cross-Canada trip Wednesday.

Well done, gentlemen!
