"We haven’t left.”

Bryce Wisekal with Young Life in Dawson Creek wants the public to know the organization was not a casualty of COVID-19. Wisekal says the group is winding up for a busy 2023 – but is short in its volunteer base.

“We still meet up with 15 to 20 kids in Dawson Creek each week,” he says.

“We want to spread the word that we haven’t left.”

The outfit has a May 6 dessert banquet – seeing youth in the program bake desserts for the evening.

“This summer in July we are planning on sending 21 kids to the Rockridge camp in Princeton BC. We meet every second Monday at the First Baptist Church in Dawson Creek – at promptly 5:19pm

Wisekal has been with the organization since 2016 when he joined as a volunteer. The organization has been operating in Dawson Creek since 1991.
