The U18 Northeast BC Predators made their annual trip to Calgary last weekend, October 1 to 3, for the Calgary Firestarter Female Hockey Tournament. The girls were in tough, playing the Edmonton Pandas, Calgary Fire Red, and Airdrie Lightning.

Despite losing the four games they played by wide margins, the girls got some valuable early-season game experience, especially since they have barely played competitive hockey since the 2019-20 season.

All three Predators teams are gearing up for week one of the Female A North Zone League, November 5 to 7, at the Taylor Arena. The Preds will host the first "super-weekend", which will see teams from Williams Lake, Prince George, and Fraser Lake come to the Peace Region for a weekend full of regular season games.

Before then, the U18, U15 and U13 Predators teams will be in Richmond for the Pacific Coast Female Rep Hockey Classic, October 22 to 24.
