Two suspects charged with attempted murder of DC woman no longer in custody

Two of the three suspects facing attempted murder with a firearm charges related to a Dawson Creek woman have been released -  and will appear in October to next address the charges.

Freddy Ominayak, 26, Vicki Ominayak, 26, and Jared Anderson, 28, all face charges of attempted murder with a firearm, discharging a firearm with the intent to wound or disfigure robbery, aggravated assault, and assault with a weapon in relation to an August 26 shooting in Dawson Creek. Freddy also faces an additional charge for willfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer.

The trio is scheduled to next appear on Oct 12 to consult legal counsel, with an arraignment hearing expected for Freddy Ominayak on Oct 19. He remains the only accused in custody.

Court services confirms Vicki Ominayak and Anderson have both been released, with orders to report to a bail supervisor in Dawson Creek. 

On Aug 26 a Dawson Creek woman attended at the hospital with a gunshot wound. The Prince George Emergency Response Team was called in and officers located Freddy Ominayak at a motel in the 1700 block of Alaska Avenue. He was arrested without incident.
