Two charged with multiple property crime offences

Two men have been charged with a multiple offences after being arrested by the Dawson Creek RCMP during an early morning break and enter.  

On November 22 at 4:35am the Dawson Creek RCMP received a report of a break and enter in progress occurring in Pouce Coupe.

Police attended the area and located a white Ford F350 pick up truck fleeing the scene at a high rate of speed. The truck drove through a ditch and rammed two fences before it was ultimately disabled. Two suspects fled from police on foot.  

Adrian Meck, 36 was arrested by police near by the scene hiding in bushes. Police Dog Service attended the scene and worked alongside responding police officers in locating Cody Gladue 29, who surrendered and was arrested.

The vehicle occupied by the pair has been identified as the same truck that fled on police several times earlier in the night. Through further investigation the truck was confirmed to be stolen.  

"The Dawson Creek RCMP is committed to keeping our community safe and are pleased to announce the two men involved in these crimes are each facing several charges," said Constable Baron, Dawson Creek Media Relation Officer.

 In relation to this interaction, Meck has been charged with break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence, possession of property obtained by crime, mischief over $5000, flight from police, drive while disqualified, drive while drivers license is suspended and drive while prohibited.  

Meck has accumulated 18 charges spanning 5 different police files since August 2022. Meck has been charged with a variety of offences including 2 counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance, break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence, possession of property obtained by crime, 3 counts of breach of a release order and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle amongst others.  

In relation, Gladue has been charged with break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence, possession of property obtained by crime, breach of probation, mischief and flight from police. In addition to these charges he was charged with driving while prohibited from April of 2022.
