Invitations roll out Nov. 29. Appointments are mandatory - there will be no drop in times for children

This afternoon the Province of British Columbia announces the roll out of its COVID-19 pediatric vaccination program - for children five years of age to 11.

With more than 350,000 children in the province aged 5 to 11, provincial officials are noting pediatric experts now recommend moving ahead quickly to vaccinate children. More than 84,000 children have already been registered.

"Verbal consent from parents or legal guardians will be required at the time of vaccination. Children must be at least five years old. Eleven year olds will received a pediatric vaccine, and then when they turn 12, an adult vaccine.
