Canada Post officials confirm an incident is under investigation at the Pouce Coupe Post Office.
“We can confirm an incident of vandalism occurred at the Pouce Coupe Post Office before it opened on Wednesday, March 15,” note Canada Post officials adding since the local RCMP unit is investigating, it would be inappropriate to comment further or provide details.
One reader told the Dawson Creek Mirror it appears items stolen from the Post Office were found throughout the village, while another notes a video may have captured the thief(s) or vehicle(s) used.
"Customers who believe they have not received a piece of lettermail should contact the sender,” says Lisa Liu with Canada Post media relations.
“If they believe a parcel delivery is missing they should contact Canada Post's Customer Service so that we can look into it and potentially work with the sender, who may initiate a claim with Canada Post,” she adds.
“They should also contact the sender to begin their claim for a refund or have the parcel sent to them again. Customers concerned about identity fraud should contact the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501.”
