Numbers are heading up.

Provincial Health Minister Adrian Dix says surgery numbers are starting to tick back up as far as frequency in the Northern Health region.

“They are increasing both in Prince George and at the Dawson Creek Regional Hospital,” said Dix this afternoon.

“I know how important every surgery is, and we are making every effort.”

Dix said to date - 123 critical care patients have been transferred out of Northern Health.

“A vast majority of those people tested positive for COVID, and a vast majority of those people were unvaccinated,” said Dix.
