The Dawson Creek Mirror and Pouce Coupe Legion are hosting a candidate meet and greet/forum discussion on Thursday, Sept. 9.

The legion opens at 3:30pm, with the event to start at 7pm.

With only a few days notice for voters of the previous forum - only a portion of voters (approx. 25) were able to make time to attend a previous forum held at the Pouce Coupe community hall last week.

“This is another chance for potential voters of the village to meet the candidates that are up for two seats in this byelection,” says Mirror managing editor and evening moderator Rob Brown.

"With both card-carrying Legion members in attendance - as well as members of the general public - it should be a robust crowd," he adds.

"The Pouce Coupe Legion celebrates 95 years in the Village of Pouce Coupe in 2021 and this is a good a time as any to note the anniversary."

Synthia Lavallee, Richard Mineault, Les Randall, Danielle Veach, and Marcel Woodill are letting their name stand and are in the running for two village council seats.

General voting for Pouce Coupe will be open to qualified electors on: Saturday, September 18, 2021 between the hours of 8am and 8pm at the Pouce Coupe Community Centre; 5010 – 52nd Avenue.

Advance voting will be available to qualified electors on: Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 8am to 8pm at the Village Office 5011 – 49th Avenue.

As with the first forum - it is expected that not all candidates will be in attendance.
