The Mile 0 Quilt Guild creates roughly 35 to 40 quilts a year and another round have just been donated to the DC Hospital oncology department and community seniors.
Natalie Willett and Jessica Kulla of the Dawson Creek Hospital recently accepted almost 20 quilts shared between the community seniors and the oncology department from Tonya Peirce, Silvia Nodes and Sandra Chapman of the Mile 0 Quilt Guild.
The group can continue with this commitment with the help of Encana and Rip’s Shoe Re-Nu. The guild is a group for anyone interested in quilting in Dawson Creek and the Peace area. “Learn what we do, and how to do it.”
Sewing nights are held every Tuesday at 7 pm at the Kiwanis Performing Arts Centre.
