It was another hot day across the province Thursday and for the second day in a row, a temperature record-breaker for Dawson Creek, where the mercury hit 32.5 Celsius, breaking the old record from July 28, 1937 of 30 degrees.
Preliminary figures also show, and more communities could be added to the list later tonight, that Mackenzie also established a new mark of 33.3, up the 32.9 in 2009.
Chetwynd's unofficial high Thursday was 33.2, while Fort St. John reached 30.0.
It was a much cooler day in Fort Nelson at 24.4.
Today's hot spot in both B.C. and Canada: Osoyoos at 42.1.
