With a final review from the advisory committee and approval from the province, Northern Light's College's agriculture labour market study is ready for final publication.

The study, titled State of the Agriculture Labour Trends and Needs in Northeast British Columbia, is a partnership between the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction and NLC. It examines the current state of the agriculture sector in Northeastern British Columbia.

We now have a current snapshot of the agriculture labour trends in the Northeast and recommendations that can help move the industry forward. Northern Lights College will help support the industry’s educational needs, but it will take a concerted effort of multiple government ministries, agencies, and other local training providers to fully support these recommendations,” said Todd Bondaroff, Vice President, Student Services and Community Relations for Northern Lights College.

A briefing of this study was presented by Rob Malatest, President of Malatest & Associates, during the recent virtual labour market forum, InSight: The Future of Work. The full study can be viewed and downloaded right HERE
