Exposure warnings for two DC schools issued

Northern Health has informed SD59 officials that students and staff at Ecole Frank Ross Elementary School and Dawson Creek Secondary School - South Peace Campus may have been in contact with a lab-confirmed case of COVID-19 on February 16.

Northern Health has informed SD59 officials that students and staff at Ecole Frank Ross Elementary School and Dawson Creek Secondary School - South Peace Campus may have been in contact with a lab-confirmed case of COVID-19 on February 16. An additional potential exposure day of Feb 17 was added to DCSS

"In these circumstances, the safety plans were followed precisely - and because of this, the risk of additional cases is very low. Please be reassured that our schools will continue to implement the strict protocols and procedures we have in place so that children can continue to attend school as safely as possible."

Northern Health initally announced only the one potential exposure day -  then added another exposure date Feb 17 at DCSS.

Northern Health has asked that students and staff monitor for symptoms until March 2, 2021 midnight - 14 days from the last date of possible contact with the confirmed case.
