Reports of a fire at Rotary Manor last week were false - the stunning bright blaze was the 104 candles on resident Grace Harley's birthday cake.
Grace has spent the last 14 years in Mile Zero, hailing from Leaman, Alberta. Prior to Mile Zero, Harley lived in Surrey.
Her husband Ken worked for the City of Dawson Creek, with two daughters, Sandy and Rita.
"She came to Dawson Creek to visit family and never left," says family.
