Sleigh rides in the woods
100 Acre Woods is hosting sleigh rides in November and December - weather permitting - until Boxing Day. 5558 - 225 Rd.
A Tomslake Hall Christmas
December 4 from 1 to 5pm sees the Tomslake Hall decked with the Christmas flavour. A fish pond, sandwiches and snacks, a Parcel Post, bazaar, luncheon, and of course the guest of the afternoon - one Santa Claus will be dropping by.
A Rotary Christmas dinner
The Rotarians of DC will be hosting their annual Christmas meal at Notre Dame School on Sunday, December 4. Doors at 4 - dinner at 5pm.
Skate with Santa
Early in December Santa has time to skate with community youth throughout the world – and Dec. 4 he will be touching down in DC for a 4:30 to 6pm skate. Hot chocolate, hot dogs, and more will be in the offing! Children and youth must wear helmets and skates to attend on ice.
Christmas with Santa at McLeod Hall!
The McLeod Hall is the place to be from 1 to 4pm on Dec. 4. Santa will be stopping in at 3pm. Hot dogs, hot chocolate, holiday snacks and crafts.
Candlelight memorial service
Thursday, Dec. 8 sees the candlelight memorial service for the South Peace Hospice Palliative Care Society light up at the Calvin Kruk Centre for the Arts, or KPAC. Please RSVP by Nov. 30 if you wish to attend firstname.lastname@example.org
A Christmas Carol
Homeschool students in Dawson Creek aged 5-14 will perform the holiday classic - “A Christmas Carol” on Dec 10 at 1pm at the Alliance Church.
Admission is free with a perishable food donation.
Community Christmas concert
Dec. 11 Community Christmas Concert at Grace Lutheran Church at 7pm. Bake sale for Dawson Creek Refugee committee and St. Mark's Ecumenical food bank.
Pioneer Village's Old Fashioned Christmas
Dec 11 sees the Old Fashioned Christmas at Pioneer Village from Noon to 5pm. The Rotary Clubs of Dawson Creek will be grilling dogs, playing festive music, offering sleigh rides, heating chocolate to drink, and roasting the chestnuts.
Dawson Creek Fire Truck Parade
The super excitement of the 2nd annual Dawson Creek Fire Truck Parade will kick off Christmas week. Tuesday, December 20 the parade starts from the Firehall at 6pm. This year will be even bigger and better than last year .. we’ve got a few surprises!
Skate with the Grinch
Dec. 21 is the date to circle on your holiday calendars to skate with the Grinch. The Grinch will be coming down from Bear Mountain and suspending his planning of cancelling Christmas and skating with children and youth from 630 to 730 on Dec. 21. Children must wear skates and helmets to attend on ice.
