The Dawson Creek Co-op has partnered with Dawson Creek Society for Community Living (DCSCL) to help rural and urban seniors to stay fed and stay safe during the COVID-19 crisis.

The Co-op team has assembled $27 essential grocery packs that will be delivered to seniors in need by DCSCL. It was a matter touched upon Monday at city council by councillor Charlie Parlsow.

“They (DCSCL) will be taking calls to line up food and other essential items,” he notes.

“We were approached by Dawson Creek Society for Community Living (DCSCL) just over a week ago, and are now operational. The turn around time on launching this program was a group effort and we are very lucky to have not for profits like DCSCL in our community," says Amber Donovan, Marketing Coordinator with the Co-op.

“To order an essential package please call DCSCL at 250-782-2611 ext. 227 during the designated call times Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 9:00 am – 1:00pm” adds Marla Reed, executive director with Dawson Creek Society for Community Living.
