Temporary planter gardens will be placed in two areas of Lansdowne Centre's parking lot.

Two temporary food gardens will be appearing in Richmond’s Lansdowne Centre parking lot to benefit local food charities starting Thursday, April 8.

The mall is partnering with the Richmond Food Security Society and Victory Gardens in an initiative to grow and supply fresh produce grown in planter gardens.

One of the gardens will be located near the Lansdowne Canada Line Station and the other in the parking lot closest to the entrance of T&T Supermarket.

Victory Gardens staff will be at the gardens every week to tend to the crops.

Once the produce is harvested, the Richmond Food Security Society will distribute it to local food charities.

The planter gardens will be at Lansdowne Centre until September 2021.
