World Professional Chuckwagon Association presents the DC Battle of the North

Dawson Creek Exhibition Association is proud to bring in five heats of Western Chuckwagons and nine heats of World Professional Chuckwagons  to the 2018 “Greatest Show in the Peace.”

Thirty six wagons from the World Professional Chuckwagon Association. These wagons are on the GMC Pro Tour with nine venues who host a race meet. Grande Prairie, Saskatoon, Medicine Hat, High River, Ponoka, Calgary Stampede, Strathmore, Dawson Creek, and the circuit final in Rocky Mountain House.

Twelve wagons from the GMC Western Chuckwagon Association. The 20 wagon drivers are from the Peace River Area who are working their way up to the World Professional Chuckwagon Association. The WCA does not have outriders nor a stove thrown in the back of their wagon as part of the race criteria. Dawson Creek will be the WCA circuit “Finals”.

“Dash for Cash” on Sunday

Don’t miss “Dash for Cash” Sunday – where 56 chuckwagons race in two divisions to carry the title of “Battle of the North” winner in World Professional Chuckwagon and Western Chuckwagon.  All Heats have a Dash for Cash. Thrills! Spills! and Extreme Excitement…we have it all in the World of Chuckwagon Racing!

World Professional Chuckwagons “Dash for Cash” Sunday:  Heat 9 $10, 000 Heats 1-8 are $1,000 and the winning Outriders (Dash for Cash) in every heat.

Western Chuckwagon Association Dash for Cash Heat Five $5,000 and a new GMC pickup truck. Heats 1-4 are $500.

Kids Calf Scramble for a bike each evening following the chuckwagon races.  Sponsored by SKK Chartered Professional Accountants & EMCEE Dennis Hall. Two bikes each night Wednesday to Sunday following the Chuckwagon races. Children cannot be over 12 years old by July 1, 2018 and children 5 & under must be accompanied by an adult.

The races start at 5:30 pm each day from Wednesday to Sunday, August 8-12, 2018.
