Wind warning for area

Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or already blowing above and through the South Peace.

A heavy Pacific frontal system moving across the interior of the province accompanied by a strong westerly flow will give strong winds to the Peace region today.

"Winds of 70 km/h gusting to 90 is expected today before diminishing to 40 km/h gusting to 60 this evening," says our weatherman in the DC Mirror WeatherCopter, Sky Hammer.

"Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage."
