Water Meter Replacement Program continues

The City of Dawson Creek has awarded a tender to replace 500 water meters to Neptune Technology Group Canada for $235,000.00 plus applicable taxes.

The project is part of the Water Meter Replacement Program, which began in 2016, as 51% of water meters were due for replacement due to “obsolete technology.”

According to the report, 1,000 meters have been replaced leaving approximately 1,655 remaining. Last year, the cost was $225,975.

One bid was received in the request for quotations.

The project is scheduled to begin in early September and finish in November.
