Season reminder about pets in fields and parks

With warm weather heading this way, many outdoor sporting activities are now in full swing in Dawson Creek. The sports fields are busy most nights with team practices and scheduled games for all ages.

The City would like to take this time to remind the residents of Dawson Creek that dogs and other animals are not permitted in the sports fields. If you are using public parks and have a dog with you, please ensure they stay out of the sports fields. Pet waste bags have been provided for free on many of the main walking trails in local parks to ensure that residents pick up after their pets.

While it is great to see Dawson Creek residents out in the parks and enjoying an active lifestyle, the City asks that everyone does their part in keeping the parks clean and the sports fields free of animal waste so all residents can continue to enjoy these amenities.
